Toria Bono is a primary school teacher as well as the creator of Tiny Voices Talk, initially a Twitter # encouraging teachers to share their wealth of expertise in a supportive and positive social platform. This has somewhat expanded and now Toria hosts a regular podcast, has a website and has recently published a book all under the Tiny Voices Talk umbrella.
Toria is a teacher who is passionate about giving children the very best learning experiences that she can. She is also a coach holding a Level 5 Diploma in Coaching.
Toria has a breadth and wealth of experience – from class teacher to school leader and currently work at a large junior school in the South East of England, teaching Year 4 full-time as well as being the Coaching Lead, one of the English Champions and being involved in many working parties to improve teaching across the school.
In June 2020, Toria was made a Fellow by the Chartered College of Teaching.
In this episode Catherine Carden chats to Toria about the joy of teaching, the value and importance of learning from one another and, of course how Tiny Voices Talk came about and reasons why Toria wanted to launch such a space.

Paula Talman is the Outreach Director at ShawMind, a charity on a mission to improve mental health awareness. Shawmind are committed to educating individuals and organisations so they understand mental health and emotional wellbeing, and how to manage them effectively to lead successful, fulfilled lives.
Paula is a registered adult and paediatric nurse with over 25 years experience in family centred health care and MSc in Nursing Science. Paula founded iSpace Wellbeing, an educational resource which supported over half a million children during the pandemic and for which she was featured as one of Forbes' Great British Entrepreneurs 2021.
In this episode Catherine Carden chats to Paula about student's mental health, the work of Shawmind and the training and resources available for those working with young people. We are also briefly joined by Shawmind's Director of Fundraising, Laura.

Sarah is an independent professional consultant working to lead professional development and support schools with their practice specifically in early years education and outdoor learning.

Andy is a teacher educator at the University of Worcester and has previously worked in primary schools as a teacher and senior leader. Andy focuses a lot of his work around supporting and developing Early Career Teachers both in his work and online through his Twitter account.
Andy also co-hosts Bowden Education's monthly ECT Support Network - an online space for ECTs and trainee teachers to network, gain advice and share.
In this episode Catherine Carden chats to Andy about the ECT years. Catherine and Andy explore the ECT entitlement, process and assessment alongside offering suggestions of how ECTs can be proactive in their own development.
